The busiest summer evah!

I found this old blog post that I never published for some reason.  So for the sake of family history, I'll post it now.

Here is our summer of 2010 in pictures.  It was the busiest summer we've had, but lots of great fun and memories!  The above picture is the king sized bed I made over the summer.  Turned out great, I love it and it is so heavy and sturdy!
Amazing view from our front window.  Don't mind the gravel yard, yard is to come next summer!

Richard had to work the Air Show at Elmendorf AFB so we went and enjoyed the show.
What summer would be complete without a ride in Grampy's little red hot rod!

We worked hard on finishing up Avery's room.  We painted her kitchen set and table, built a cute little chalk board and a bookcase, and have a daybed in the works.

The bookcase I built Avery.

Avery loves her big beautiful bedroom!

We took the motorhome with the Snyder's down to the Kenai to do some dip netting.  It was a beautiful drive and we caught loads of fish!

Along the way.
Richard happily dipnetting in the fridgid temps!  I stayed on shore with Avery and bopped the fish when he drug them in.

Melissa and James came to visit and Avery loved playing and mothering little Elsie.
Avery and Daisy were so brave and went on the giant tube several times at Lake Louise.

Avery & Ty- best friends at the Alaska Zoo.
All the kids at the AK Zoo.

Avery looking cute at Lake Louise.

We went for a hike with James up to Reed Lakes- beautiful as always!

Avery & Dad got to go on a fishing trip with Grandpa.  Here's a Halibut Avery helped reel in.

San Fransisco

Back in October I was able to meet up with two of my best friends in the whole world for an amazing girls' weekend! We had fun shopping, sightseeing, talking until way too late, and pretty much ate our way through the city. I loved San Fran, and plan on going back many, many times!

The 3 of us at Alcatraz- another place I have always wanted to see!

At the pier- being awesome.

Steph & Melanie on our walking tour. Loved the hilly streets!

Riding the famous trolleys! They are even cooler than I thought they'd be!

Looking super sexy on our bike ride.

Biking the Golden Gate Bridge! What up yo! Check that off the list!

Told you we ate our way through this city. You can see our three hungry sillouettes just waiting to dig in to what many said was the best lunch in town, worth waiting in line hrs for. So when we walked by and the line was short we jumped in. Nevermind that it was only 10:30am and we had just eaten breakfast an hour or so again. We had to try. Unfortunately the verdict was less than impressed. Just didn't live up to the hype, sorry Rolli-Rotti. Still like the name though.

Getting fruit at the amazing farmer's market they had- in October no less!

Melanie and I heading into China town.

Stephanie and I in China town.

About to dig into the Ahi Tuna Burger and sweet potato fries at Gotto's. One of the best things I've eaten, on that trip or ever. Yum! But yuck to my face- you know it's bad when your kid comes up behind you as your posting the pic and says "whoa, mom, is that you? You look kind of ....." lost for words and walks away. Yikes. But I had to post the sandwich, I had to, it was just too, too delicious!

And the finale- this is why I love Stephanie so, so much! She keeps me laughing!

The time has come...

to say goodbye to my beloved camera! I am (FINALLY) moving on and up in the digital camera world! I can't wait- although this has been a trusty old friend of mine. So I'd love to see it go to a good home, somewhere that it will get used and won't have to sit around in the closet lonely and missing me! (I recently watched Toy Story 3- so am feeling bad for this little guy).

So if you or anyone you know is interested- I have a much loved Canon Rebel XTi, purchased about 4 years ago. It comes with the 18-55mm kit lens and I am throwing in a Quantaray 28-90 lens that I don't use much anymore. Camera still has a lot of life yet- I just really need something a step up. I purchased it for $750 on sale on Black Friday 4 years ago and am selling for $350. I would be happy to ship it for around $25, insured. Comment if interested! Thanks.

I cannot believe Avery is 4 years old now! Wow, where did the time go? I still think I should have this little baby, and here she is a little girl! She sure keeps us laughing, always coming up with something crazy to say. She is so cute and prefers to wear only dresses, whenever possible! Friends- her best friend is still her cousin Ty, but she really loves all fo her cousins too!

Random happenings in the life of the Luff's

So, lots has happend in the past few months. My little sister Amy had her 3rd littl baby boy- Kade. He's so cute and this first picture is of him at about 3 weeks old. He is getting so chubby and is so smiley now!
Then I went to Utah for my little brother's wedding and got to meet this little man- my cousin's first baby Sullivan. We did a makeshift photo shoot while at Cokeville. He is so sweet.
Richard and his fellow co-workers participated in Mustache March. He was very proud of his stache and wanted to document it.

Got to go to Logan for my little brother Calvin's wedding. The weather was pretty much a blizzard as Calvin and Natalie came out. It was freezing and so windy!

Got to see my good friend Laura, AKA LJ at Calvin's reception! And had fun with all the Hammonds as usual!

Avery had a birthday and turned the big 4! She was so excited and had been asking for a bike for months! We finally broke down and got her one, and of course we had to get the princess bike!

Rich had a nasty skiing accident! (don't ask what type of skiing he was doing)His cheek is still has a scar. This is when Avery thought Rich was going to die.
